Why is CPG so beloved?
Here are 10 reasons I’m a certifiable, unabashed CPG fan:
1. A True Mexican Mini-Tour Legend
CPG is self-proclaimed “one of the most prolific players in the game’s history”. How he stays humble is difficult to comprehend. He made more than a dozen cuts on the Mexican Mini-Tour circuit, including the prestigious Yucatan Masters and he defended his 6,583rd position in the World Golf Rankings for an amazing 311 weeks. Some are saying he should be on the Mount Rushmore of the game’s most iconic golfers along with Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus and Sam Snead. The jury is still out.
2. Fabulous High School Golf Career
Often overlooked in CPG’s impressive competitive golf resume is his amazing high school golf accomplishments. He was 1987 Hickman Mills High School 2nd team All-Conference and was an All-Conference honorable mention in 1988. Check out full resume. Wow!
3. Wears Golf Sandals
CPG seems to have no qualms about wearing this somewhat controversial golf footwear. Quite frankly, in my analysis, anyone who has the balls to wear golf sandals is an unabashed, courageous golf hero.
4. Impressive Investor Portfolio
Much respect to CPG for not going big-time on his fans even though he owns a time-share in Branson, Missouri.
5. Developer of Three Jack National
CPG is billing it as “America’s next great semi-private golf club”. Even though it’s located in a high-crime area next to an Interstate, Three Jack National , designed by golf architect Hank Jones, is expected to take it’s place as one of the best in the world alongside Augusta National, The Old Course and Royal County Down. Better still, Three Jack National has some unbelievable logo gear. If you can’t get to Augusta National for some merch, this gear is the next best thing.
6. Quite the Ladies Man
He boasts on his website that he’s a member of 14 dating apps and he constantly gives updates on his dates with his girlfriend, Renata, to restaurants like Chili’s and Applebee’s.
7. Drives a Mazda Miata
While some of golf’s biggest stars tool around in Lamborghini’s and Bentley’s, CPG is content with driving an aging Mazda Miata convertible. This man has more guts and heart than any MMA fighter in his decision to drive this treasured relic while maintaining his status as one of the game’s most influential golfers.
8. Legendary Media Conferences
His media conferences available on Youtube are artistic masterpieces as he features Thursday Night Men’s League highlights as well as helpful insights like “Is it Time to Dump Your Member/Guest Partner?”
9. One of the World’s Top Golf Instructors
Responsible for multiple net club champions, CPG created the 7-4-7 Swing Thought System® and Stack and Jilt™ Chipping Method. Eat your heart out Harmon brothers.
