I trudged thousands of steps through the aisles of the vast Orange County Convention Center in Orlando to find out what new clubs will help golfers this year.
Here are 5 new clubs introduced at PGA Show 2023:
Titleist Black Finish Irons
If you’ve got game, Titleist is gonna help you take it to another level in appearance and performance. Available in golf shops on March 3rd (2023), the precision, feel and playability of Titleist T100, T100•S and T200 irons have arrived in an all-black Titanium Carbide Vapor finish, bringing a new look to the most played irons on the PGA TOUR. The new sleek black finish is matched with True Temper AMT Black, AMT Tour White and Project X LZ shafts that have an onyx powder coat finish. All-black Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 grips complete the set-up for a sleek, clean look. Retail Price: $1,699 (7-piece set).
Callaway Paradym Driver
If you want a super light club to increase your club speed, it’s Callaway to the rescue. The Paradym Shift Construction offers an industry-first 360 Carbon Chassis that eliminates titanium from the body, so designers pushed weight and stability to the limit. A 360° Carbon Chassis promotes unprecedented weight redistribution for maximized distance. The Triaxial Carbon crown and Forged Carbon sole is an amazing 44% lighter than a titanium chassis. This massive weight savings is repositioned both forward for fast ball speeds, and toward the back of the clubhead for higher MOI and increased forgiveness. Paradym is the first driver to utilize Callaway’s industry-leading face cup technology. They’ve paired the face cup with a powerful, forged titanium face, a combination that provides higher energy transfer to the ball than a standard driver face insert. Scheduled worldwide release day is February 24, 2023. Retail price: $599
Ping 430 Driver, Fairways, Hybrids & Irons
Ping fanatics everywhere are rejoicing with this new line. The custom-fit, custom-built G430 family consists of three driver models (MAX, LST, SFT), two fairway-wood designs (MAX, SFT) in multiple lofts, six hybrid choices and an iron set (4-9, PW, 45.5°, 50°, 54°, 58°). For slower-swing-speed golfers, all of the clubs except the LST driver can be custom built with lighter head weights, the ultralight PING Alta Quick shaft and a lighter grip as part of the G430 High Launch (HL) option. Retail price irons: $170 per iron in steel; $185 per iron in graphite; Driver: $600 to $630
Cobra Aerojet Metalwoods and Irons
Looking for faster clubhead and ball speed? Who isn’t? Cobra’s new line with “advanced aerodynamic shaping” claims to be your answer. It includes an innovative PWR-BRIDGE weighting system (which positions the center of gravity low and forward for max out speed and lower spin) plus a PWRSHELL H.O.T. face to deliver a larger sweet spot – meaning faster speeds across the face. Multiple models of Aerojet are available across the lineup for all types of players. The Aerojet Driver features a fast, low spin head with the added benefit of high launch and forgiveness. Driver retail price: $549; Fairways: $329 and Irons from $999.
Srixon ZX5 MK II Driver
Srixon clubs are often overlooked, but their new line of woods won’t be. Srixon’s Rebound Frame creates multiple areas in the head for the face and body to promote better energy transfer to the ball resulting in more ball speed and more distance. A large, flattened footprint, and 8g rear weight, help golfers easily launch drives that fly higher, farther, and straighter. An adjustable hosel sleeve allows you to dial in face angle and loft to suit your swing. Retail price: $499
