I roamed the aisles of the Orange County Convention Center for three days at the 2022 PGA Show in Orlando (January). Lots to see.
Here are five of my favorites out of the hundreds I viewed.
Enjoy!
1. Pub Og Irish Micro-Pub
How would you like to own your own Irish pub? Stupid question, sure you would. It’s possible if can scrounge up 80 large ($80,000). Pub ‘Og, a northern Ireland company, offers a mini-pub (10 ft by 10 ft octagonal shape) brimming with authenticity. If you’re looking to upgrade your man cave, create your personal 19th hole or make your backyard the envy of all your whiskey and Guinness drinking golf buddies, this pub is for you. Each miniature pub seats four at the bar, can accommodate three others standing and is customized to individual interests and tastes so no two pubs are alike. The price includes shipping and full assembly on site. View beer tender Paul (a company rep who I met at the Show) below and he’ll tell you all you need to know. Cheers! For more information: Pub Og
2. Phat Golf Scooter
Traditional golf carts are so yesterday compared to this fat tire, electric beauty. The Phat Golf Scooter helps speed up play, provides easy balance and traction with wide tires and allows you to play 36+ holes on a single charge. Accessories include a golf bag rack, cooler, divot bottle, weather shade, cupholder and phone holder. Because you ride alone, you can travel directly to your ball instead of being slowed down by a partner in a golf cart. For more information: Phat Golf Scooters
3. True Linkswear
Given the choice between riding in a cart or walking, I’m hoofing it, always. Walking on soft green turf and taking the time to smell the roses truly elevates the golf experience. In my opinion, the absolute best shoe on the market for walking golfers is by True Linkswear. Started by Jason Moore and his brother PGA Tour pro Ryan Moore, True Linkswear created the first shoe specifically designed for the walking golfer. The emphasis is placed on comfort, natural motion, versatility and ethically sourced materials. They offer a wide range of golf shoes in men and women styles. The Moore brothers are innovative and creative and continue to be the leaders in high-quality golf footwear designed for the walking set. For more information: True Linkswear
4. Stix Golf
I’m not a big fan of complete golf club sets (that include driver, irons, putter and the bag), but Stix Golf has changed my mind a bit. With so many new golfers to the game during the pandemic, they’re looking for the right affordably priced set to get started. Stix are high-quality clubs that transcend the typical “beginner set”. Better still, they sport a unique, kick butt, all-black finish. Plus you’ll get free shipping on orders over $100 to the continental U.S. For more information: Stix Golf
5. Transfusion Cocktail
I’m pretty much a frosty brewski or single malt whiskey guy after a round of golf, but, hey, I’m willing to try something new. I sampled this concoction at the PGA Show Demo Day and it was refreshing and I can definitely see it being a post round cooler. Better still, it could serve well as a swing oil when my game (or your game) goes in the crapper. The Transfusion Cocktail is a combination of premium distilled vodka, ginger ale and grape juice.
