For visitors to Orlando, Florida, high on the list of great Italian restaurants are Christini’s Ristorante and Fresco Cucina Italiana. Both are exceptional choices with superb cuisine and excellent service and convenient locations in southwest Orlando near the Orange County Convention Center and International Drive tourism corridor.
My favorite, however, is Adriatico Trattoria Italiana in the walkable community of College Park, just northwest of downtown Orlando.
Adriatico exudes the the warmth of a true Italian trattoria. It has phenomenal food and owners who seem to pour everything into creating an exceptional dining experience. My wife and I travel to Italy every year and Adriatico Trattoria Italiana not only equals the meals we’ve had there, but in many respects it exceeds some of the cuisine we’ve enjoyed in Italy. While that might seem a bit of hyperbole, I assure you, I’m not exaggerating. From the grilled scallops and asparagus for an appetizer to the buccatini with pancetta, peas and mushrooms and Veal Sienese with fontina cheese and prosciutto, our meal was prepared to perfection. Best of all, the owners Rosetta and Marco, are warm, friendly people who take great pride in everything that comes to your table. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo! Can’t wait till my next visit.
