The Ultimate Golf Beer

To let you know where The Golf Travel Guru stands:

Yes, I love the first sip of an ice cold beer after mowing the lawn.

Yes, I also relish the initial sip of beer that’s been sitting in an ice chest all night before a football game tailgate.

Make no mistake, though, nothing beats the first sip of a frosty brewski at the 19th hole after day on the golf course.

That being said, I’ve got some great news for those who love their cold beer as much as their golf.

TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida has partnered with Mocama Beer Company to provide the resort’s golfers, members and guests with a new pilsner lager. Branded by the TPC Sawgrass team, it’s called Pin Seeker Pilsner.

A Czech style pilsner, Pin Seeker, a clear, golden lager, is dry hopped with the perfect balance of floral, fruity and bitter hops. Subtle notes of peach, lemon and passion fruit highlight this crisp beer.

After you’ve dumped your shot in the drink on the number 17 island hole like I did, the Pin Seeker Pilsner is now there to wash all your troubles and bad memories away. Or it’s a perfect brew to celebrate a great score.

I was introduced to Pin Seeker by Simon Muldoon of Mocama Beer Company, a craft production brewery and taproom located in Fernandina Beach, Florida on Amelia Island near Jacksonville. Some of their other products include Cosmico, an India Pale Ale (IPA), Dune Garden, an American lager and Prosim Pilsner, a Czech style Pilsner.
